2. Summary

This website uses no cookies and no tracking scripts. We only measure visitor numbers in aggregated form on the server side (see section 6). We only process personal data when this is technically necessary to deliver the website, when you join the waitlist, or when you contact us by email.

3. Hosting with Netlify

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, USA ("Netlify"). When you visit the website, Netlify automatically processes technical data in server log files. This includes your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring URL, and your browser and operating system.

This processing is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in a secure and functioning website.

Netlify processes this data on our behalf. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Netlify in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Data may be transferred to the USA. Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, Netlify's data processing agreement contains the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Waitlist

You can join our waitlist on this website. To do so, we need your email address. Optionally, you can tell us roughly how many devices you manage and which MDM you use. We use this information only to understand who is interested and what to build next. We also store the time of your registration so that we can prove your consent.

We use your email address solely to inform you about the start of the EchoMDM beta and the early bird offer. We do not send any other advertising and do not share your address with third parties for their own purposes.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by sending a short email to hello@echomdm.com. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

The form data is stored via Netlify Forms, a service of Netlify, Inc. The information on data processing, the data processing agreement and the transfer to the USA in section 3 applies accordingly.

We delete your email address as soon as you withdraw your consent, or no later than 12 months after the beta launch if no customer relationship has been established. If we decide not to launch EchoMDM, we will delete all waitlist entries.

The form contains an invisible field that protects against spam bots. No additional personal data is collected through it.

5. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your email address, your message and any other information you provide in order to answer your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in all other cases. Our legitimate interest lies in responding to inquiries.

Our email service is provided by checkdomain GmbH, Germany, which processes the data on our behalf. We delete your data once your inquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Visitor statistics with Netlify Analytics

We use Netlify Analytics to understand how many people visit this website. Netlify Analytics evaluates the server log data described in section 3 and shows us aggregated statistics only, such as page views, unique visitors, referring websites, the most visited pages and pages that could not be found. No cookies are set, no tracking scripts run in your browser, and we cannot identify individual visitors.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in measuring the reach of this website and improving it. The information on the data processing agreement and the transfer to the USA in section 3 applies accordingly.

7. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are hosted on our own server. When you visit the website, no connection is made to Google or any other font provider.

8. Encryption

This website uses TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by "https://" in the address bar of your browser.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access the personal data we store about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16 GDPR), erased (Art. 17 GDPR) or restricted (Art. 18 GDPR), and to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20 GDPR). If we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The current version always applies.
